Deconstructing the Sphere

This video features the deconstruction of a beautiful sphere. According to zenbullets this is generative art, yet perfectly deterministic, so he (zenbullets) created it to form a perpetual 1m1 5s loop. The music is by Björk,   from Vespertine (2001).

I love the pearl-like appearance of the beads in the sphere! And, the music is so beautiful.

Here's an ambient electronica music video with very creative art from one of my Tweeps/Tweeters, @tangrammusic (a.k.a Peter Fabok), that I found when I viewed the 'Bronze Bumblebees' video on his website. The tune is entitled 'Hawking Method Part II' and it is as beautiful as the art is creative! Also, I've included his music widget, so you can hear and enjoy even more of his music. I'm enjoying his music and the art! I think you'll enjoy them, too!

Also, I love the fact that this is a video and music that is family-friendly!

'Avatar' is an extraordinary work of art! I'd say this is an absolute, creative masterpiece due to all the design, acting, training, music and other astute skills that comprised its creation. Wow!

Darshan Ambient: Ambient/Electronic Music

Here's a great widget featuring some of the ambient, electronic music of Darshan Ambient (a.k.a Michael Allison). Allison describes himself as, "a composer by simple definition. A doting father and a loving husband would certainly widen the scope more accurately. I've many years in the music business playing with some of the greatest musicians in modern history." You may have heard some of his beautiful music featured on the Havasupai Indian Waterfall video by photographer, David Huting.

Love waterfalls?  Here's a hardcover book by George Lewis, Waterfalls: 75 Most Magnificent Waterfalls (Natural Wonders) that you may absolutely enjoy.

I've listened to all twenty-four of the instrumental Dashan Ambient tunes on the widget, below, and they are heavenly! I think you'll love this music, too!

Havasupai is gorgeous and so serene!! Huting's photography is sublime and Darshan's music is heavenly!

With sixteen solo exhibitions to her credit, and with works in museum, corporate and private collections worldwide, Marilyn Henrion’s reputation as one of the foremost contemporary, fiber artists is undisputed.

Recently, Henrion has added digital photography to her repertoire with Metropolis…...a series of photographic images based on the same geometric urban environment that inspires the artist’s textile works.

The artist's papers and sketchbooks are included in the Smithsonian Institution’s Archives of American Art in Washington, DC. Among her many honors is a Fellowship from The New York Foundation for the Arts, awarded in 2002.

Stan Bowman has been an artist for nearly 50 years and has exhibited his work both nationally and internationally, as a photographer, painter and digital artist. His artwork is in such collections as the San Francisco Museum of Art, Bibilotech National in Paris, German Photographic Society and many other locations.

Since the mid 1980's he has been involved with digital imaging, not only with still images, but also with digital video, 3D animation and digital music.

His recent work is about finding new ways of seeing digital still images, sometimes working at the pixel level. What excites him is discovering new ways of restructuring imagery using current digital technology.

Rom Lammar's love of traveling (he made a round-the-world trip in 1992-1994), combined to his interest in primitive cultures, have led the artist on a quest for the unusual and an increasing use of non-traditional elements in his work, such as sand, wood, rusted metal pieces, rope, and small stones.

Rom Lammar's recent paintings are influenced by sculptural forms and texture. The magic of his compositions is based on the way he uses depth, light, and shadow, to set the overall mood of the painting.

Carrick is well-known for the famed purple deserts, as well as mountain-land-and-seascapes. Carrick also finds inspiration in Roman and Greek saga which carry over into fantasy work. Moreover, Carrick loves to paint Western art and can catch both the seriousness and the subtle aspects of the "human condition" as it relates to the cowboys and townsfolk, alike.

The Work of American Sculptor Sterett-Gittings Kelsey

Hello, Everyone! Today's post features the divine sculptures of Sterett-Gittings Kelsey.

Kelsey works primarily in bronze, with sculptures ranging from three inches to twenty two feet in height. She is the leading sculptor of dance in the world today.

The Kelsey bronzes are owned by major collectors and connoisseurs of " Investment-level Fine Art ". These masterworks in bronze can be found in more than 300 public and private collections worldwide.

The Kelsey sculptures are hand-made from start to finish. The transformation from Kelsey's clay original, into a masterpiece in bronze, is a long and expensive process. A new ceramic mold is handmade for each sculpture. This mold is used only once.... then... it is destroyed in the casting process. There are about thirty five steps which each work passes through on the way to becoming a completed work of art.

Each sculpture bears: the copyright symbol: The artist's logo: the artist's name: date of origin: foundry mark; and the edition number.

Good day, Everyone! Today's post features the beautiful art of John Lautermilch.

John Lautermilch is a native of St. Louis, Missouri. His interest in art began in early childhood, and by the age of eight, he began painting. John won his first art show while still in elementary school, and by the time he was in high school, his art was being displayed and sold in local restaurants.

After high school, John attended the School of Fine Arts at Washington University on a scholarship. The year he graduated, his work was accepted by the St. Louis Art Museum for exhibit in their annual show.

Throughout his career, John has won numerous awards and prizes in various art shows. He has also done many commissioned works both for individual collectors and institutions, including a series of paintings for a Lutheran organization in St. Louis.
