OVO - Cirque du Soleil

OVO is a Circque du Soleil show conveying the colorful, ecosystem of energetic insects as they crawl, flutter, work, eat, fight, play and look for love.  In OVO the insects' world is bio-diverse, beautiful, sometimes noisy and sometimes quietly emotional.  One of the various delights of OVO is the depiction of 'love at first sight' when a quirky, gawky insect arrives in this bug community and a lovely, wonderful ladybug catches his eye -- she feels 'love at first sight' for him, too!

Cirque du Soleil is an artistic entertainment company based in Quebec. The company is world-reknown for its hallmarks: high-quality shows filled with powerful athleticism, high-energy acrobatics and inspiring imagery. Cirque du Soleil has more than 4,000 employees, globally. Their touring shows have been in more than 250 cities, globally. These shows have be viewed by nearly 100 million people since 1984 and this year (2010) they will present twenty different shows around the world. One of these shows is OVO.

OVO is currently touring the USA.  The first video, below features scenes from this extraordinary Cirque du Soleil show!  The second video features bugs from OVO, a bug dance party and a delightful-to-watch audience of children and adults doing a bug dance!  I'm confident that you'll enjoy them.

'Standing Firm' is a movie by Praise Pictures* that aims to answer certain questions about God and counteract un-enlightened thinking about Him.

In this movie, "David, a widower, is working himself to death. Late nights doing paperwork and running on fumes is normal. Bills are piling up by the week, and foreclosure looms on the horizon. Blaming God for his wife's death, he ends his relationship with the church.

Steven, the remaining Christian of the household, has been watching his father's unhealthy lifestyle with great concern. With help from his grandpa and best friend Maggie, Steven reaches out to his father in any way he can.

Despite his grieving and worsening financial problems, David begins seeking an answer to the question haunting him since his wife's death...WHY?

One-Year Audio Bible Widget

The widgets below are one-year audio Bible widgets which allow a listener to hear Scriptures, from the Holy Bible, read by Tom Dooley. They are from MasterMedia Ministries. Dooley has an awesome voice and it is easy to listen to as he reads. I've noticed that as he reads it is so easy to imagine what's being read!

The first widget version you see below is named, 'Small' and the second widget is named, 'MP3 Logo'. This widget updates itself daily so that each day you'll hear Dooley reading a new/different Scripture. As you can see there are several versions of this widget. Their sizes are customizable/changeable, as follows:

• You can change the size of the 'Small' widget by changing the height (159 or 154) and width (125) in the code; do so proportionately.  Below, I changed the size of one to height="125" and width="100" so that you can see the difference. 
• You can change the size of the 'MP3 Logo' widget by changing the height (88 or 87) and width (250) in the code; do so, proportionately. Below, I changed the size of some of the widgets to height="60" and width="160" so that you can see the difference in this one, as well.

I enjoy using this widget to listen to the Scriptures, while I work online. They're a great way to learn more of them and a great way to share them! You can get this widget at One Year Audio Bible.  I hope you all enjoy them a lot!

Christian Gospel Rapped Up!

The music featured in this post is Christian/Gospel/Gospel Rap/Street Rap by music artist 'San Joe'. I heard his music while searching for other Christian music on Reverbnation and decided I'd share it with you all. The lyrics tell a story to be heard. In 'San Joe's' bio statement he shares:

"My mom was raped and conceived me herion addict for over a decade before switching to crack, speed and pills. Our Ever-beautiful Moon

This post features the interesting photographic images of our moon, by Ali Tamay, in a SlideShare presentation widget. SlideShare provides a way to share presentations, documents and professional videos on your site. I love the fact that SlideShare gives users a choice of how the presentation is embedded: 'With related content' (default choice) and 'Without related content'.

My favorite slides of this presentation are '3' and '5-11'. In number '6' the two appear, by body language, to be thinking, "That is amazing!". What do you think they're thinking?
