Private Islands: Where Would You Like Your Private Island to Be?

Where Would You Like Your Private Island to Be?

Hello, Everyone! Today's featured widget is an info-graphic from Iglu Cruise, 'A Guide to Buying Your Own Island". In addition to the wonderful information, I think this info-graphic is beautifully designed.

Now I'm thinking, "Where would I like my private island to be? I don't want any Jurassic Park III-like experiences. Soooo ...".

That last line is my sense of humor kicking-in; the thought of including that line in this post made me laugh, so there it is for you to laugh at, too. There shouldn't be any Isla Sorna-like dinosaurs lurking about, looking us humans over like appetizers.
(I'm still laughing!)

The website for The Pink Slipper Project (TPSP) is one of the prettiest websites I've ever seen! The slippers featured on TPSP are gorgeous-beautiful. You should see the Slipper Teddy-Bear sets and the Christmas Stockings! The images are so clear you can discern the exquisite patterns, colors and detail that went into creating them. It's easy to see that their designers are quite talented. What else can I say, other than, "Gorgeous designs for a lovely cause!"?

Alfa Romeo Widget

Alfa Romeo: From 1910 to 2010Alfa Romeo

Hello, Car Fans! Today's post features an Alfa Romeo presentation (widget). The Alfa Romeo is an automobile company marque that began in June 1910 as A.L.F.A (Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili) in Milan, Italy. The company is famous for car racing since 1911 with a reputation for building expensive sports cars. Read more of the story of A.L.F.A, the legend of Alfa Romeo and Alfa Romeo today.

Alfa Romeo is celebrating its centenary (1910 - 2010) this year! Wow, 2010 totals 100 years of the Alfa Romeo marque/brand! In addition to the presentation, I thought you'd be delighted to see some video footage of Alfa Romeo from the 1900s on through to now, 2010. The videos in this playlist are from 'completecar' at YouTube.

Of the Alfa Romeo, in 1939 Henry Ford told Ugo Gobbato, General Manager of Alfa Romeo, "When I see an Alfa Romeo go by, I tip my hat."

Among the Alfa Romeo's available today, my favorite design is the Alfa Romeo 8C. Enjoy the widget and playlist!

The Perasa Romance: 27 Years!

27 Years of Romance: After Marriage

Hello, Everyone! Today's video widget features the romance of Mr. & Mrs. Danny Perasa, in their voices, as they told it to StoryCorps. Sounds like Annie was his 'Cinderella' and Danny was her 'Prince Charming'. What a deep, lasting, mutual love they shared. It's lovely to hear them and I believe you'll enjoy it!

"Danny Perasa and his wife, Annie, went to StoryCorps to recount their twenty-seven-year romance. As they remembered their life together, from their first date to Danny’s final days with terminal cancer, these remarkable Brooklynites personified the eloquence, grace, and poetry that can be found in the voices of everyday people when we take the time to listen." ~ StoryCorps
